We employ a consultative approach to understand our customers’ needs before touching a single piece of wood.
Concept has grown well beyond our initial focus on residential projects such as cabinetry, millwork, and furnishings. Today, Concept is a trusted partner to contractors and professional designers. Our work can be found in a diverse array of settings including restaurants, hotels, health clubs, theatres, offices, and museums.
We started out in a small, sublet space in Linthicum Heights, Maryland. In 2018, we moved to our own 7,000 square foot shop in Baltimore. While woodworking is Concept’s focus, we have completed projects that artfully blend wood, glass, metal, and stone.
We invite you to contact us to get started on your next project.
Concept Wood Design is proud to be a member of the Cabinet Makers Association.
From the CMA website:
“The Cabinet Makers Association was incorporated in 1998 by a group of custom cabinetmakers who thought our industry needed a group for the small- to mid-size shops to network and help each other grow profitably. From our humble beginnings in a Chicago hotel on a cold winter night, we have grown to include hundreds of small to medium cabinet shops, millworkers, furniture makers, and suppliers throughout the USA and Canada.”
“Paul and the folks at Concept Wood Design are the absolute best! Always responsive and quick which you don’t find often in the industry and will mend any issues that arise.”
“When we were preparing our town home for sale, we consulted with Paul on the best way to revamp our kitchen. Aside from recommending we purchase new appliances, Paul inspected our existing cabinetry and determined they were structurally sound. Paul designed and created beautiful new maple faces for all of the cabinets, created a new countertop, and installed everything (including the new sink) before we listed.
Thanks to Concept Wood’s amazing work, our home sold five days after listing! The new owners specifically mentioned the kitchen as the prime reason for the purchase.”
